Since 2011, Bartoli spa has had FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certification, an international award given to products and companies that responsibly manage forest resources. Founded in 1993, the FSC® is an independent non-profit organization that promotes sustainable forest management worldwide. To date, that of FSC® is the most accredited forest certification system in the world, in terms of the number of certificates issued, robustness of certification criteria, and companies involved in the processes.
By adhering to this certification, Bartoli spa commits to:
- Contributing to sustainable forest management. This scheme aims to promote responsible, socially beneficial, and economically sustainable forest management.
- Being transparent. By joining a chain of custody, you can trace the path of forest products, from the forest to the end consumer. This makes it possible to distinguish and trace timber products, labeled FSC®, throughout their production and distribution process.
- Preserving biodiversity. Sourcing FSC®-certified pulp helps protect natural habitats for various species of flora and fauna.
The paper products supply chain has joined this certification on a global scale.
